No — qrsen.com/qr-generator stays completely free forever, with no sign-up, no scan limits, and no expiry, regardless of anything on this page. These plans only apply to the separate MCP server and API used for programmatic access.
The web tool encodes everything client-side in the browser, so there's no per-generation server cost. The API and MCP server, by contrast, run requests through our infrastructure on demand, which has real ongoing hosting costs at volume, which is what the Starter and Pro tiers cover for heavier programmatic use.
API and MCP requests beyond your plan's monthly limit are rejected until the next billing cycle resets the count, or until you upgrade to a higher tier. The web generator itself has no such limit, since it isn't affected by these plans at all.
Yes — Starter and Pro are both billed monthly with no long-term contract, and can be cancelled at any time from the dashboard's billing settings. Cancelling stops future billing; there's no cancellation fee.
For usage beyond what Pro's monthly limit covers, reach out directly — contact details are on the /contact page — and we'll work out a limit that fits, rather than requiring you to stay capped at the standard Pro tier.
It's marketed as unlimited but backed by a real 1,000 generations/month cap per account, which is well beyond what almost any real integration uses in a month — the cap exists purely as a safety net against abuse or a runaway script, not as a practical ceiling.
