A QR Code Generator That Lives in Your Browser Toolbar

Right-click any page, link, or selected text to generate a QR code on the spot — pick a style and color, then download as PNG or SVG. Same engine as qrsen.com’s generator, built entirely into a popup that never sends your data anywhere.

Chrome Web Store listing coming soon — for now, install it directly in under a minute (steps below).

What's included, free

Right-click, anywhere
Generate a QR code for the current page, a specific link, or selected text — straight from the right-click menu.
4 styles, 6 colors
Dots, Rounded, Smooth or Square, in Jet Black, Deep Navy, Sky Blue, Rose, Emerald, Amber, or any custom color.
PNG or SVG, instantly
Download a crisp 1024px PNG or a scalable SVG — or copy the image straight to your clipboard.
Nothing leaves your device
Every code is generated locally in your browser. No accounts, no tracking, no data ever sent to our servers.
Minimal permissions
Just activeTab, contextMenus and storage — no access to your browsing history or the content of other tabs.
Free, no limits
No sign-up, no scan caps, no watermark. The same generator that powers qrsen.com, in your toolbar.

How to install (takes about a minute)

01
Download the extension
Grab the .zip below — it works in Chrome, Edge, Brave and Opera.
02
Load it as an unpacked extension
Unzip it, open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode, then click "Load unpacked" and pick the folder.
03
Click the icon on any page
Your current tab's address fills in automatically — pick a style and color, then download or copy.

“Load unpacked” is a normal, built-in Chrome developer feature — it’s how any extension is tested before it goes live on the Chrome Web Store, and it doesn’t require any special settings beyond turning on Developer mode on that one page.

Built to need almost nothing from you

The extension asks for exactly three permissions: activeTab to read the page you’re currently on when you open the popup, contextMenus to add the right-click options, and storage to remember your last-used color and style — locally, on your own device. There are no host permissions, so it can’t read the content of tabs you haven’t asked it to act on.

Every QR code is drawn client-side using the same open-source engine as the main site’s generator. Nothing you type is transmitted anywhere. Full details are in the extension privacy policy.

Frequently asked questions

Yes — every feature in the extension (all 4 dot styles, all 6 preset colors plus a custom color picker, transparent backgrounds, PNG/SVG download, right-click generation) is free with no sign-up, no account, and no scan limits.
No. Every QR code is generated locally in your browser using the same open-source engine as qrsen.com's own generator. Nothing you type is sent to our servers or anyone else's — see the full privacy policy at qrsen.com/extension/privacy.
Just three: activeTab (to read the current tab's address when you open the popup), contextMenus (for the right-click "Generate QR code" options), and storage (to remember your last-used color and style locally on your device). No host permissions, no browsing-history access.
Yes — right-click any link and choose "Generate QR code for this link," or select text on a page and choose "Generate QR code for this selection." Right-clicking empty space on a page generates one for that page's URL.
The extension is a fast, one-click version of the same generator for quick jobs. The website adds logo embedding, vector PDF export, and saved history in a free account — the popup has an "Open full editor" link that carries your text over if you need those.
Any Chromium-based browser that supports Manifest V3 extensions — Chrome, Edge, Brave, and Opera all work from the same package.
